Fleet Week, Go-Go Kitty, Go!, Silence!, et al. Honored with FringeNYC Excellence Awards
More than two dozen shows presented in the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival were honored on August 28 with Overall Excellence Awards.
The recipients were chosen by an independent panel of 60 theater critics and industry professionals; there are no set categories or number of awards given each year. In addition to the honorees listed below, the winner of the Audience Favorite Award (sponsored by TheaterMania.com) was The Miss Education of Jenna Bush.
The Overall Excellence Awards were presented by FringeNYC producing artistic director Elena K. Holy during the festival’s closing ceremony. Here is a complete list of the honorees:
