Mo Rocca hosted Fire Island Dance Festival, held July 20-22 at the Fire Island Pines. The festival, produced by and benefiting Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, raised a record-breaking $374,260.
The festival featured works by Ballet Hispanico, David Grenke Performance Projects, Jared Grimes, Project Moves Dance Company, Yosvani Ramos, and Sidra Bell Dance New York.
Additionally, the festival featured a piece created especially for the event by Tony Award-winning choreographer Rob Ashford, which featured Broadway performers Helen Anker, Marty Lawson, Mayumi Miguel, Karine Plantadit, Charlie Sutton, Ryan Watkinson, Charlie Williams, and Samantha Zack.
