Jonathan Marc Sherman’s new play,
Knickerbocker, opened at the Public Theater on Thursday, May 19.
Opening night guests included David Benioff, Matthew Broderick, Josh Charles, Paul Dano, Peter Dinklage, Griffin Dunne, Sophie Flack, Josh Hamilton, Zoe Kazan, Julianna Margulies, Emily Mortimer, Alessandro Nivola, Sarah Jessica Parker, Amanda Peet, Martha Plimpton, Liev Schreiber, Yul Vazquez, and Naomi Watts.
In the play, Jerry prepares for the birth of his first son while ensconced in his favorite restaurant booth.
Pippin Parker has directed the production, which features Mia Barron (Pauline), Alexander Chaplin (Jerry), Bob Dishy (Raymond), Christina Kirk (Tara), Drew Madland (Steve), Zak Orth (Chester), and Ben Shenkman (Melvin).
