We leave you with two photos from last night’s unveiling of artist Daniel May’s new portrait of the great composer-lyricist Jerry Herman at Tony’s DiNapoli Restaurant on West 43rd Street. Herman himself could not be present because he had a “dental emergency,” so the portrait was unveiled by Gary Beach, who’s starring in the new Broadway production of Herman’s La Cage aux Folles.
Two more stars of La Cage, Michael Benjamin Washington and Gavin Creel, also attended the unveiling.
