Denis O'Hare, Aurélia Thierrée, et al. Set for McCarter Theatre's 2010-2011 Season logo

McCarter Theatre has announced its 2010-2011 season, which will open with Aurélia's Oratorio (September 10 - November 17), starring Aurélia Thierrée, created and directed by Victoria Thierrée Chaplin.

Tony Award winner Denis O'Hare will star in An Iliad (October 19 - November 7), which he and Lisa Peterson have adapted from Homer's epic.

In the new year, the theater will produce the world premiere of Sarah Treem's The How and the Why (January 7 - February 13), to be directed by Emily Mann, followed by a revival of Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart (March 8 - March27), to be directed by Liesl Tommy.

The season will close with the new musical Sleeping Beauty Wakes (April 29 - June 5). This revision to the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale features a book by Rachel Sheinkin, music by Brendan Milburn and lyrics by Valerie Vigoda, and will be directed by Rebecca Taichman.

In addition, McCarter will present its annual production of A Christmas Carol, to run December 5-26.
