Works by Kate Fodor, Kristina Poe and Tennessee Williams Set for Elephant Theatre Company's Season
Kate Fodor's 100 Saints You Should Know will be the company's first offering, running May 20 - June 26. Directed by Lindsay Albaugh, the play centers on a priest who must reconcile his desires with his role in the church, a teenage boy confused about his own sexual identity, and a young woman desperate for spiritual validation. They are all brought together on one fateful night in which they will discover the tenuous common ground they share.
Also on the theater's schedule is Kristina Poe's look at a woman's dark and comic quest for revenge Love Sick (September 9 - October 16), to be directed by David Fofi; and Tennessee Williams' Baby Doll (November 11 - December 14), to be directed by Joel Daavid. Adapted by Williams' from his one-act 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, the play focuses on the arranged marriage of a doltish and passionate man, and his beautiful virgin bride who stubbornly refuses to consummate their marriage until the day of her 20th birthday.
