Reprise Theatre Company to Present Ben Vereen: Up Close & Musical

Reprise Theatre Company will present the one-night only performance and conversation, Ben Vereen: Up Close & Musical, September 8, in UCLA’s Freud Playhouse.

Joined by award-winning playwright and director Charles Randolph Wright, Vereen will sit down for a candid conversation about his career, and perform selections from his most memorable roles. Following the conversation, the audience will get a chance to speak with Vereen in a special question and answer session.

Vereen won the Tony Award for his work in Pippin. His many Broadway credits include Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Jelly’s Last Jam, I’m Not Rappaport, and Fosse. His film and television credits include Funny Lady, All That Jazz, Roots, Silk Stalkings, and Webster. He received an Emmy Award for his 1978 special Ben Vereen… His Roots.
