Center Theatre Group celebrated the opening of Yasmina Reza’s
God of Carnage at the Ahmanson Theatre, on Wednesday, April 13. Matthew Warchus has directed the piece.
Reza’s play, translated by Christopher Hampton, focuses on two married couples dealing with a schoolyard dispute between their sons.
The production stars Jeff Daniels, Hope Davis, James Gandolfini, and Marcia Gay Harden, all of whom are reprising their performances from Broadway.
The celebrity-packed opening night included guests Jesse Tyler Ferguson, John Glover, Angelica Huston, Angelina Jolie, Stacy Keach, Camryn Mannheim, Sandra Oh, Brad Pitt, Annie Potts, Julian Sands, Janet Shaw, Martin Sheen, Eric Stonestreet, Katherine Tokarz, Malgosia Tomassi, and Bradley Whitford.
