Daniel Davis and Lisa Harrow to Star in Benefit Reading of The Lion in Winter

The Hamptons Shakespeare Festival and the John Drew Theater will present Daniel Davis and Lisa Harrow in a benefit reading of James Goldman’s play The Lion in Winter, to be directed by Jesse Berger, on Sunday, July 18 at 7:30 pm at Guild Hall of East Hampton.

The play, which debuted on Broadway in 1968, tells the story of King Henry II, his magnificent queen, Eleanor of Aquitaine, and the young mistress who might just tear the kingdom apart.

Davis’ many stage credits include La Cage Aux Folles, King Lear, Coco, and Amadeus. He spent six seasons as Niles on the hit TV series The Nanny. Harrow’s many stage credits include Twelfth Night, The Merchant Of Venice, and Wild Oats.
