Tina — The Tina Turner Musical Sets Release Date for Original London Cast Album

Stage Entertainment and Ghostlight Records has announced that the original London cast recording of Tina — The Tina Turner Musical is now available for preorder and is scheduled to be released for digital download and streaming on Friday, March 29. A physical CD is planned for release later this spring. The show is now in performances at the Aldwych Theatre in London's West End and will open on Broadway in this fall.

Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Katori Hall with Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, Tina — The Tina Turner Musical is choreographed by Anthony van Laast, with set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg, projection design by Jeff Sugg, and orchestrations by Ethan Popp.

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, Tina Turner didn't just break the rules, she rewrote them. This new stage musical, presented in association with Tina Turner herself, reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender, and race.

Adrienne Warren, who leads the London production as Tina Turner, will re-create her performance on Broadway next season.
