Samantha Barks and Bryan Adams Perform "I Can't Go Back" From Pretty Woman

The new musical opens this August at the Nederlander Theatre.

Pretty Woman: The Musical begins Broadway previews July 20 in advance of an August 16 opening at the Nederlander Theatre. Adapted from the 1990 romantic comedy, the show had its world premiere in Chicago this past spring, directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, with a book by Garry Marshall and the film's screenwriter, J.F. Lawton, and an original score by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.

Samantha Barks stars as Vivian Ward, a Hollywood Boulevard prostitute who spends a week with high-powered businessman Edward Lewis and begins to see new options for her life. That shift is illustrated in the song "I Can't Go Back," which Barks performed with Adams in concert at London's O2 Arena. Get a taste below of what's headed for Broadway later this summer.
