Broadway's Tony-nominated Tootsie has announced world domination in the form of a North American tour and several international productions.

The first national tour of David Yazbek and Robert Horn's musical will kick off at Shea's Buffalo Theater in Buffalo, New York, in the fall of 2020, with casting, exact dates, and additional cities to be announced at a later date.

Additionally, producers Scott Sanders and Carol Fineman will partner with Michael Harrison and David Ian to bring the production to the West End in 2021, and will partner with Benjamin Lowy Productions to present the show in Australia. A Japanese-language production, presented by TOHO Co., Ltd., will premiere in Tokyo and will tour to several major cities across Japan. The production will also play New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, with exact timing still to be revealed.

Tootsie, featuring a book by Horn, and music and lyrics by Yazbek, had its world premiere at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre on September 29, 2018, and its New York premiere at Broadway's Marquis Theatre on April 23, where it currently plays. The Broadway company is led by Tony nominees Santino Fontana, Lilli Cooper, Sarah Stiles, and Andy Grotelueschen, as well as Julie Halston, John Behlmann, Michael McGrath, and Reg Rogers. Scott Ellis directs, Denis Jones choreographs, and Andrea Grody serves as musical director.
