Manhattan Theatre Club has announced casting for its Broadway premiere of Richard Bean's The Nap, directed by Daniel Sullivan.

The company of The Nap will be led by Alexandra Billings, Tony nominees John Ellison Conlee and Johanna Day, United States National Snooker Champion Ahmed Aly Elsayed, Heather Lind, Max Gordon Moore, Bhavesh Patel, Thomas Jay Ryan, and Ben Schnetzer. Additional casting will be announced.

The Nap is set in the world of snooker, the British version of pool. Dylan Spokes (Schnetzer), a fast-rising young star, arrives for a championship tournament only to be confronted by the authorities warning him of the repercussions of match fixing. Before he knows it, Dylan's forced into underhanded dealings with a cast of wildly colorful characters that include his ex-convict dad (Conlee), saucy mum (Day), quick-tongued manager (Moore), and a renowned gangster (Billings), to boot.

The creative team is made up of David Rockwell (scenic design), Kaye Voyce (costume design), Justin Townsend (lighting design), Lindsay Jones (sound design), Anne Ford-Coates (hair and make-up design), Ben Furey (dialect coach), and Thomas Schall (fight director).

Previews begin at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on September 5, with opening night set for September 27.
