John Treacy Egan to Star in Westchester Broadway Theatre’s A Sleepy Hollow Christmas Carol Musical

Broadway veteran John Treacy Egan will star as Ebeneezer Scrooge in Westchester Broadway Theatre’s production of the new musical A Sleepy Hollow Christmas Carol, December 1-26.

Based upon the the tales of Charles Dickens and Washington Irving, and conceived and adapted by Jean-Paul Richard, the musical is set in the town of Sleepy Hollow, New York in 1900. It tells the tale of a Sleepy Hollow businessman, Ebenezer Scrooge, who had no love in his heart for his fellow man, especially at Christmastime. Scrooge meets Washington Irving who takes him on a redemptive adventure to his past, present and future where he meets his boyhood self and such characters as Ichabod Crane, Katrina Van Tassel, Jacob Marley, Tiny Tim and several other surprising encounters.

The show will feature popular Holiday songs such as “Deck the Halls”; “Silver Bells”; “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and more.

Egan’s Broadway credits include Bye, Bye Birdie, The Little Mermaid, The Producers, and Jekyll & Hyde. His Off-Broadway credits include When Pigs Fly! and Bat Boy: The Musical.
