Michael Micalizzi, Kevyn Morrow, Johnny Ramey to Star in CENTERSTAGE’s The Whipping Man

CENTERSTAGE will present Mathew Lopez’s The Whipping Man, the season’s final Classic Series production, April 4-May 13. Artistic director Kwame Kwei-Armah will direct.

The Whipping Man is the story of three Richmond Jews, a former Confederate soldier and his former slaves, who gather around a makeshift Seder table at the close of the Civil War.

The cast will include Michael Micalizzi, Kevyn Morrow, and Johnny Ramey.

The design team will be comprised of Neil Patel (set design), David Burdick (costume design), Michelle Habeck (lighting design), and Sean Rettig (sound design).
