Shaw Festival Announces Casting for Court House Productions

The Shaw Festival has announced principal casting and creative team information for its upcoming 2012 Court House Theatre productions.

Marla McLean and Graeme Somerville will star in A Man and Some Women (April 27-September 22), by Githa Sowerby, directed by Alisa Palmer, designed by Leslie Frankish, with lighting design by Louise Guinand and music by Allen Cole. The cast will also feature Sharry Flett, Kate Hennig and Jenny L. Wright.

Nicole Underhay will lead the cast of Bernard Shaw’s The Millionairess (June 20-October 6). Blair Williams will direct, with design by Cameron Porteous, lighting design by Louise Guinand, and additional cast members including Kevin Bundy, Martin Happer, Steven Sutcliffe and Robin Evan Willis.

Moya O’Connell and Gray Powell portray Hedda Gabler and her ex-lover Eilert Lovborg in Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler (July 25-September 29), to be directed by Martha Henry. The cast will also feature Patrick McManus as George Tesman, Jim Mezon as Judge Brack, Claire Jullien as Thea Elvsted, Mary Haney and Jennifer Phipps. The production will be designed by William Schmuck, with lighting design by Kevin Lamotte and sound design by Todd Charlton.

Mark Uhre and Elodie Gillett will star in Trouble in Tahiti (June 1-October 7), featuring music and libretto by Leonard Bernstein. Jay Turvey will direct, with design by Michael Gianfrancesco, with lighting design by Andrew Smith.
