Based on the classic 1963 film, in which Lewis starred, The Nutty Professor follows chemistry Professor Kelp, who creates a formula to turn himself into a heartthrob. The show features music by Tony Award winner Marvin Hamlisch and a book and lyrics by three-time Tony Award winner Rupert Holmes.

Michael Andrew will star as Professor Julius Kelp. Additional casting will be announced at a late date.
