The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Announces 2009-2010 Season

The Maltz Jupiter Theatre has announced the five production line-up for its 2009-2010 season, set to play at their theater in Jupiter, Florida.

The season will open with Fanny Brice: The Real Funny Girl, November 10-22, a bio piece about the famous performer and her career from Burlesque as a teenager to the toast of the Ziegfeld follies and everything in between. Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers will follow, December 1-13, a comedy set in 1942 in a small apartment over a candy store in New York, where two young brothers live with their grandmother, their kooky aunt, and their gangster uncle.

The Jerry Herman musical La Cage aux Folles will open the new year, January 12-31, about the owners of a transvestite nightclub in St. Tropez and how far they go to act “normal” for the parents of their son’s fiance. Tintypes will bring an all-American Patriotic revue, February 9-28, featuring the music of George M. Cohan, John Philip Sousa, and Scott Joplin among others. The season will close with Anything Goes, March 9-28, Cole Porter’s tap-dancing romp full of romance and intrigue.
