Asolo Rep Announces Casting and Creative Teams for The Last Five Years and Hearts

Casting has been announced for the Asolo Repertory Theatre‘s productions of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years, to run January 20 – February 28 in the Historic Asolo Theater, at the Ringling Museum, and Willy Holtzman’s Hearts, to run January 20 – April 11 on the theater’s mainstage Mertz Theatre. Michael Donald Edwards and Greg Leaming, respectively, will direct.

Brown’s musical, which follows the arc of a couple’s relationship, will feature Kris Danford and Sam Osheroff. The creative team will include Brian Nash (musical direction), Jeffrey W. Dean (scenic design), David Covach (costume design), Aaron Muhl (lighting design), Aaron Rhyne (projection design), and Edward Costa (sound design).

For Holtzman’s play about a Jewish-American soldier during and after World War II, the company will feature Douglas Jones, Michael Joseph Mitchell, James Clarke, Peter Mendez, Sarah Gavitt, Kirstin Franklin, Alexandra Guyker, and Kevin Stanfa.

The creative team will include Judy Gailen (scenic and costume design), James Sale (lighting design), and Matthew Parker (sound design).
