Roxanne Goodfellow has been named the new artistic and general manager of the Marines’ Memorial Theatre. Under her guidance, the venue will be host to a continually changing lineup of performances, including music, dance, theater and film.

The 650-seat jewel box theater was built in 1926 and originally, was a stage for nationwide radio broadcasts for such legendary stars as Bob Hope, Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny, and Bing Crosby. Later the theater became the home to the celebrated Actor’s Workshop, best known for presenting interpretations of modern avant-garde and politically oriented works by such playwrights as Bertolt Brecht, Harold Pinter and Tennessee Williams.
