Neil Patrick Harris to Voice Spider-Man in Upcoming Video Game

Stage and screen star Neil Patrick Harris will voice the Amazing Spider-Man in Activision Publishing, Inc.’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions game. The game is currently being showcased at the San Diego Comic-Con, and will be released on September 7.

The game will also include the voice talents of Josh Keaton, Christopher Daniel Barnes, and Dan Gilvezan, each of whom will provide the voices of different incarnations of Spider-Man that have been published by Marvel Comics. Comic book legend Stan Lee will serve as narrator, with original music from Emmy Award-winning composer Jim Dooley.

Harris previously voiced Spider-Man in the 2003 Spider-Man: The New Animated Series. The actor’s stage credits include Assassins, Rent, and All My Sons, and he will be directing the Hollywood Bowl’s concert staging of Rent this summer. He is currently filming The Smurfs. He is well-known for his portrayal of Barney Stimson on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother and for his role as the title character in Doogie Howser, M.D. In addition, and he has hosted the Tony Awards and the Emmy Awards.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will be available in Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC and Nintento DS versions.
