Casting Set for La Jolla Playhouse's Wild Goose Dreams

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its world premiere production of Wild Goose Dreams by Hansol Jung. Directed by Leigh Silverman, the show runs September 5-October 1.

The cast will include Yunjin Kim as Yoo Nanhee, James Kyson as Gook Minsung, Francis Jue as Father, Carolyn Agan as Woman/Chorus, Julian Cihi as Man/Chorus, Rona Figueroa as Wife/Chorus, Samantha Wang as Hyonjin/Chorus, and UC San Diego M.F.A. students DeLeon Dallas, Kyle Hester, and Kimberly Monks as Chorus.

In Wild Goose Dreams, a North Korean defector who has left her family behind and a lonely South Korean father start an unlikely online romance as they attempt to allay their fears and alienation in this inventive, lyrical, and darkly humorous piece.

The creative team includes Paul Castles (composer), Charity Wicks (music supervisor), Yasmine Lee (choreographer), Wilson Chin (scenic designer), Linda Cho (costume designer), Keith Parham (lighting designer), Joanna Lynne Staub (sound designer), and Gabriel Greene (dramaturg).
