Anthony Lawton, Jered McLenigan Star in The Karma Cookie

Anthony Lawton and Jered McLenigan will star in 1812 Productions’ world premiere of The Karma Cookie, by P. Seth Bauer. The production will play the Adrienne Theatre, March 5-29, with Pete Pryor at the helm.

The two-hander follows British brothers Barry and Alistair around the globe on their quest for enlightenment, with the little white paper fortunes they get in fortune cookies taking them to a new adventures full of questions, challenges, and cream pies to the face.

Lawton, who plays Barry, starred as George in Of Mice and Men (Walnut); Austin in True West and Feste in Twelfth Night (Lantern). His original play, The Foocy received five Barrymore nominations, including one for Best New Play. McLenigan, who plays Alistair, most recently appeared in It’s a Wonderful Life-A Live Radio Play at The Prince, Bloom’s Fork for Greg Giovanni’s Big Messy Retrofest and in Tom Stoppard’s Rock N’ Roll at the Wilma Theater.
