Signature Theatre has announced special events taking place this fall at the Pershing Square Signature Center.

Throughout her yearlong residency with Signature Theatre, playwright Suzan-Lori Parks will perform with her band Sula and the Noise at the Signature Café Bar. The first performance will take place October 29 at 9:30pm, and will feature Parks alongside guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Christian Konopka and percussionist and actor Julian Rozzell.

Parks will also participate in talkbacks for the upcoming production of The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World on November 10 at 6pm. Playwright and director Athol Fugard and associate director Paula Fourie will lead a discussion of "Master Harold"…and the Boys on November 2 at 6pm.

Signature Book Club’s next selection is Fugard’s Cousins: A Memoir. The discussion, guided by members of Signature’s literary team, will take place on Thursday, December 1, at 7:30pm. On December 2, photographer Susan Johann will sign her new book, Focus on Playwrights, Portraits and Interviews, which features artists from Signature's 1991-2003 seasons.
