New Ohio Theatre to Present World Premiere of Death of the Liberal Class
New Ohio Theatre will present the world premiere of Death of the Liberal Class, written by Robert Lyons and directed by Jerry Heymann, from January 23-February 13 with an opening night on January 25.
Inspired by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges' book of the same name, Death of the Liberal Class follows a burned-out, left-wing journalist who retreats to the family farm hoping to find peace of mind. But when his teenage daughter follows, she brings with her all the anger he's left behind.
The cast will include Steven Rattazzi, Jeanette Dilone, Olivia Horton, Melissa Murray, Justin Colón, and Arthur Aulisi.
The production team includes Jason Simms (set design), Seth Reiser (lighting design), Andrea Hood (costume design), M. Florian Staab (sound design), and Rebecca Phillips (props design).
