Tony Award-winning actress Michele Pawk will direct Jon Courie's Carapace Isle at Manhattan Repertory Theatre, November 8-December 5.

This world premiere comedy is set in a small town on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. In a moment of crisis, Ashley returns to her parent's home, seeking support and comfort. Instead, she's hit broadside with a dose of Southern-fried family dysfunction.

The cast will include Athena Masci, Rachel Charlop-Powers, Grace Savage, Jim Speak, and Wanda O'Connell.

Pawk won the Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Play for Hollywood Arms. Her many stage credits include Mamma Mia!, Hairspray, The Dark at the Top of the Stairs, Bounce, Seussical, and The Paris Letter. She will co-star in Playwrights Horizons' production of Craig Lucas' Prayer for My Enemy in November.
