Malachy McCourt to Perform One-Man Show at South Orange Performing Arts Center

South Orange Performing Arts Center is set to present Malachy McCourt in his one man show Loving Life and Laughing at Death, March 9 at 8 pm.

In the show, McCourt will share his experiences in a multitude of careers, from dish washer, longshoreman, and pub keeper to actor, writer, and candidate for governor. He will tell his story using poetry, song, and short stories.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Limerick, Ireland, McCourt acted on and off Broadway before becoming a host on WMCA. He has published articles in many periodicals including New York Newsday, National Geographic, and The New York Times and currently write a column entitled Sez I to Myself, which appears in The Westsider and Our Town in NYC.
