Michael Boatman and Tika Sumpter to Join CW’s Gossip Girl

Stage and screen star Michael Boatman and former One Life to Live star Tika Sumpter will be joining the cast of CW’s Gossip Girl according to Movieline.com.
The pair, who are expected to debut in 2011, will play Russell Thorpe, a powerful business tycoon, and his smart and savvy daughter, Raina.
Boatman’s stage credits include Master Harold…and the BOYS and The Tin Pan Alley Rag. His television credits include Spin City, Law & Order: SVU, and The Good Wife.
Gossip Girl stars Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, and Taylor Momsen.
