Tony Award nominee and Emmy Award winner Charles S. Dutton will guest-star on CBS’ Criminal Minds later this season, according to TVGuide.com.
The site reports that Dutton will play Tony Colt, a Philadelphia boxing trainer who learns that his favorite pupil turns out to be a violent serial killer.
Dutton received Tony nominations for the original Broadway production of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and The Piano Lesson. He also appeared in the Broadway revival of Ma Rainey’s.
He won Emmys for his acting work on The Practice and Without A Trace, and a directing Emmy for the HBO miniseries The Corner. He starred in the television series Roc.
Criminal Minds stars Joe Mantegna, Shemar Moore, and Thomas Gibson.
