Jason Biggs, Kristen Johnston, Justin Kirk, et al. Join BFF and Baby Film

Theater veterans Jason Biggs, Kristen Johnston, and Justin Kirk have joined the cast of the independent film comedy, BFF and Baby, according to a report in Variety. Kat Coiro will direct.

The storyline involves two friends who struggle to maintain their connection after one of them has a baby. Coiro co-wrote the film with star Krysten Ritter. The cast also features Rachel Bilson, Kate Bosworth, Seymour Cassel, Rhys Coiro, Fallon Goodson, Andrea Savage, and Geoff Stults. The production will begin production in November.

Biggs has appeared on the New York stage in The Graduate, Conversations with My Father, and Modern Orthodox. He is best known for his work in the series of American Pie films and will star in the forthcoming film Grassroots.

Johnston’s many stage credits include So Help Me God!, The Women, Aunt Dan & Lemon, The Understudy, and Celebrity Autobiography: In Their Own Words. She is best known for her Emmy Award-winning work in the sitcom Third Rock from the Sun.

Kirk received a Golden Globe nomination for Showtime’s Weeds, and starred as Prior Walter in the HBO adaptation of Angels in America. He received a Lucille Lortel Award for Ten Unknowns, an Obie for Love! Valour! Compassion!, and most recently appeared on stage in the Roundabout’s The Understudy last season.
