Lili Taylor Joins Cast of CBS’ The Good Wife

Stage and screen star Lili Taylor will have a recurring role this season on the hit CBS drama The Good Wife, according to TVGuide.com. The actress will play Donna Seabrook, who may become a romantic foil for Kalinda (played by 2010 Emmy Award winner Archie Punjabi).

Taylor has appeared on Broadway in the Roundabout’s production of The Three Sisters, and her other stage credits include Aunt Dan & Lemon, The Dead Eye Boy, Landscape of the Body, and Mourning Becomes Electra. Her many film and television credits include Starting Out in the Evening, Public Enemies, I Shot Andy Warhol, and Six Feet Under.

The series, which begins its second season on September 28, stars Broadway veteran Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florick, a 40-something woman who returns to her legal career after her politician husband is jailed after a scandal.

As previously reported on TheaterMania, stage and screen stars Mamie Gummer, Scott Porter, Michael Ealy, Dallas Roberts, Tammy Blanchard, Anika Noni Rose, Chris Sarandon, Bobby Steggert will also appear on the show this season, as will Michael J. Fox and Elisabeth Reaser.

The show’s supporting cast includes such theater veterans as Chris Noth, Christine Baranski, Alan Cumming, Josh Charles, Graham Phillips, and Mary Beth Peil.
