ABBA, Darlene Love, LL Cool J, et al. Among Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees

Swedish supergroup ABBA, whose music is used in the hit Broadway show Mamma Mia! and former Hairspray star Darlene Love are among the nominees for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

A total of five acts will be inducted next March, with the announcement of the winners due in December. Other possible inductees include Kiss, LL Cool J, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies, Donna Summer, the Chantels, the Stooges, and Laura Nyro.

In related news, a pair of concerts celebrating the Hall’s 25th anniversary will take place at Radio City Music Hall on October 29 and 30. Scheduled performers include Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Bruce Springsteen, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, U2, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Metallica.
