New York City Venues Announced for NT Live Phedre Screening

A revised list of New York City venues has been announced for the NT Live screening of the National Theatre of London’s production of Phedre, which is adapted by Ted Hughes, and directed by Nicholas Hytner. It stars Helen Mirren, Dominic Cooper, and Margaret Tyzack. The filmed version will also include a behind-the-scenes feature at the National Theatre.

The film will be screened at The Director’s Guild Theatre on Thursday, June 25 at 7:30pm; the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater on Monday, July 6 at 4pm and 8pm;Cinema 123 on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30pm, the Village East Cinema on Thursday, July 9 at 7:30pm, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music on Thursday, July 9 at 7pm.

Among the many other venues in the country that will be screening the film are New Jersey’s Monmouth University on Thursday, June 25 at 7pm; Connecticut’s Fairfield University on Saturday, July 11 at 2pm; and Long Island’s Cinema Arts Centre on Friday, July 24 at 7:30pm.
