Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Katherine Heigl and Amanda Seyfried will star in the indie comedy Gently Down the Stream, according to a report in Variety. Justin Zackham is writing and directing the movie.

In the film, De Niro and Keaton will play a long-divorced couple who, for the sake of their adopted son’s wedding and his biological mother, pretend they are still married.

De Niro appeared on Broadway in the 1986 play, Cuba & His Teddy Bear, for which he received a Theatre World Award. He has won two Academy Awards, for The Godfather, Part II and Raging Bull, and received nominations for his performances in Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Awakenings, and Cape Fear.

Keaton received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Woody Allen’s Play It Again, Sam and was seen in the original Broadway company of Hair. In addition, she has won an Oscar for her portrayal of the title character in Annie Hall, and was for her work in Reds, Marvin’s Room, and Something’s Gotta Give.
