Ricky Martin, Kylie Minogue, et al. Set for amFAR Inspiration Gala

Pop star and Broadway veteran Ricky Martin and fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier will be the first recipients of the amfAR Award of Inspiration, which will be presented at the inaugural New York Inspiration Gala, to take place on Thursday, June 3 at the New York Public Library.

The event will be hosted by pop superstar Kylie Minogue. It will also feature Grammy Award winner Estelle as guest DJ and an auction of men’s fashion’s items created by leading designers, hosted by Simon Doonan.

Martin, who appeared on Broadway in Les Miserables, will be honored for his extensive philanthropic endeavors through the Ricky Martin Foundation, including constant advocacy for the health and welfare of children around the globe and recent rebuilding efforts in Haitii, while Gaultier will be honored for his lifetime contributions to menswear design and for his enduring humanitarian spirit.

amFar will also hold a Paris Inspiration Gala, which will also honor Gaultier, on June 25, and a Los Angeles Inspiration Gala in October.
