Michael Urie will host Live Out Loud’s Young Trailblazers benefit gala to be held on Monday, April 25 at The TimesCenter.

Producer Daryl Roth will be honored at the event, in recognition of her work with the organization over the past decade. Other honorees will include Hal Rubenstein, fashion director of InStyle; Stuart Elliott, advertising columnist at The New York Times; and fashion designer Ralph Rucci of Chado Ralph Rucci. The event will also feature the presentation of $2,500 scholarships to four NY Tri-state area high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills.

Urie is currently starring in the Signature Theatre Company’s revival of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America. Last season he appeared in The Temperamentals Off-Broadway. He is perhaps best known for his work on television’s Ugly Betty.

Live Out Loud is a non-profit dedicated to connecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth with role models and leaders in the LGBT community.
