Elevator Repair Service will hold a 20th Anniversary gala at the Neue Galerie in New York City, on Tuesday, April 5.

The event will feature exclusive after-hours access to the gallery’s collection Vienna 1900: Style & Identity, Spanish wines from Jorge Ordonez, hors d’oeuvres from Michelin-starred chef Kurt Gutenbrunner, and the swinging sounds of Aaron Weinstein’s jazz violin.

The company will also be launching an international tour of its production of The Select (The Sun Also Rises), based on the novel by Ernest Hemingway, and directed by John Collins. Following an ArtsEmerson engagement at Boston’s Paramount Theater (March 15-20), the show will play the Lewis Center for the Arts in Princeton, NJ (April 15-16) and then several international festivals, including the Vienna Festival (June 7-10), Holland Festival (June 17-19), Germany’s Festival Theaterformen (June 30-July 2), and the Zurich Festival in Switzerland (July 7-9). As previously reported, the production will play a limited run at New York Theatre Workshop in September.

Additional ERS events will include Shuffle, a performance installation collaboration with UCLA statistician Mark Hansen & artist Ben Rubin, to be presented at the New York Public Library as part of its Centennial Celebrations (May 21-22); RH Gallery in downtown Manhattan as a benefit for Ugly Duckling Presse (May 24); and at Theater Square in Prague, Czech Republic, as part of the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design & Space (June 16-26).
