Broadway veteran Darius de Haas and pianist Steven Blier will celebrate the recent release of their CD Quiet Please with a concert to be held on Thursday, April 28 at the Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center. The album is available for purchase and digital download from Bridge Records.
On the recording, the artists offer new interpretations of such classics as “Spring Can Really Hang You Up the Most,” “They All Laughed,” “Good Morning Heartache,” “Paper Moon,” “Some Other Time,” “In a Sentimental Mood,” “Love for Sale,” and “I Have Dreamed.”
De Haas’ Broadway credits include Marie Christine, The Gershwins’ Fascinating Rhythm, Rent, Carousel, and Kiss of the Spider Woman.
