Reichen Lehmkuhl will play one of the grooms in the revised version of Anthony J. Wilkinson’s 2003 comedy My Big Gay Italian Wedding, which will play an open-ended engagement at St. Luke’s Theatre, beginning performances on May 5 in anticipation of a May 22 opening. Teresa A. Cicala will direct the production, which will feature wedding dances staged by Austin Eyer.

Lehmkuhl is perhaps best known for winning CBS’ The Amazing Race. Since his victory on that show, he has appeared on Frasier, The Drew Carey Show, Days of Our Lives, and The Young & The Restless. He has also been seen in films including Ethan Greene, Partners, and The Scorned.

My Big Gay Italian Wedding focuses on two gay men as they plan their wedding and the people around them, including an overbearing Italian mother, a jealous ex-boyfriend, the wedding planner from Hell, and an assortment of family and friends. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
