Eisa Davis will present a concert, Flowers Are Sleeping, at 7:30pm on Thursday, March 1 at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre at Symphony Space.
The evening will include songs from her most recent recording, Something Else, as well as other original works along with a preview of her new music-theater work, Flowers Are Sleeping, which was commissioned by Symphony Space and will receive its world premiere performance there in April 2013 as part of its Harlem Renaissance festival.
Davis’ work as a playwright includes Bulrusher, Ramp, and Angela’s Mixtape. Her many stage acting credits include Passing Strange and This.
