Victor Garber, Kelli O’Hara, Amy Ryan, David Seidler, Carly Simon, et al Set for Our Time Theatre Company’s Annual Gala

2011 Oscar nominee David Seidler will be the honoree for Our Time Theatre Company’s annual gala, to be held at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts at NYU on Monday, April 11 at 7pm. Actor Colin Firth will be the honorary chair for the event, but will not attend.

Performers and presenters at the gala will include Lauren Ambrose, Michael Cerveris, Victor Garber, Kelli O’Hara, John Oliver, Jason Patric, Ron Rifkin, Amy Ryan, Carly Simon, and cast members of American Idiot.

Seidler is being recognized for his screenplay for The King’s Speech, starring Firth as George VI, who was the King of England during World War II, and a person who stuttered.

The non-profit organization uses the arts as an innovative and effective approach to improving the confidence and communication skills of youth who stutter. The gala will feature original poems, speeches, and songs (written by the kids themselves) alongside professional artists.
