Barefoot Theatre Company to Present The 70/70 Horovitz Project

The Barefoot Theatre Company will present The 70/70 Horovitz Project, a year-long worldwide celebration of the 70th birthday of playwright Israel Horovitz to conclude on March 31, 2010.

The initial event will be a gala and reading of Sins of the Mother, to be directed by Jo Bonney, at the Theatres at 45 Bleecker Street on March 31, 2009; the show is currently making its world premiere in Olympia, Washington. The festival will also include a revival of The Widow’s Blind Date, featuring Francisco Solorzano and directed by Michael LoPorto.

Horovitz is the author of such plays as The Indian Wants the Bronx, Line, The Primary English Class, and Park Your Car in Harvard Yard.
