Marius Kwiecien, Anna Prohaska, et al, Set for L.A. Philharmonic’s Don Giovanni

Casting and creative team have been announced for the L.A. Philarmonic’s production of Don Giovanni, the first installment of the three-year Mozart/Da Ponte opera project presented at Walt Disney Concert Hall, to run May 18-26.


The production will be directed by Christopher Alden and conducted by Gustavo Dudamel. The set will be designed by internationally renowned architect Frank Gehry are Kate and Laura Mulleavy, founders of fashion house Rodarte, will provide the costumes. Grant Gershon will be the music director.

The cast will feature Mariusz Kwiecien in the title role, along with Kevin Burdette (Leporello), Carmela Remigi (Donna Anna), Aga Mikolaj (Donna Elvira), Pavol Breslik (Don Ottavio). Anna Prohaska (Zerlina), Ryan Kuster (Masetto), and Stefan Kocan (Commendatore).
