Full casting has been announced for Shakespeare in the Square’s production of The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Directed by company cofounder Dan Hasse, the drama will run from January 14-February 8, with opening night set for January 18 at the The Gym at Judson.

The company will be led by Elise Kibler as Juliet/Benvolio/Friar John, and Taylor Myers as Romeo/Lady Capulet/Sampson. Also starring are Chris Dooly (Paris/Tybalt/Prince/Lady Montague/Peter/Apothecary), Jack De Sanz (Friar Lawrence/Nurse/
Montague/ Clown/Page/Gregory), and Constantine Malahias (Mercutio/Capulet/Balthasar/Abram).

The creative team for The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet comprises Phil Falino (sets and props), Liz McGlone (costumes), Timothy Meola (lighting), and Chris Dubrow (musical direction).

Shakespeare in the Square was founded in 2010 by Rose Bochner and Dan Hasse. Its mission is to perform Shakespeare to the hilt, with a respect for the words and an awareness of original staging practices.

Following this production, Kibler will appear in the new Broadway revival of Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles.
