Developing Artists, in partnership with Vineyard Theatre, has announced the lineup of stars set to join the 13th annual Rebel Verses Youth Arts Festival, offering performances on July 27, 28, and 29, and August 3, 4, and 5 at the Vineyard Theatre. The celebrity artists will lead and perform alongside the students in the two-week festival.

The lineup includes festival spokesperson Daphne Rubin-Vega (July 27), recording artist and percussionist Okai (July 28), actor and singer-songwriter Diana Oh (July 29), actor and Pulitzer Prize-nominated playwright Eric Bogosian (August 3), Tony Award winner LaChanze (August 4), and poet and performer muMs the Schemer (August 5). The artists will be featured as the closing act of each night’s showcase.

Born out of a need in New York City for new voices in theater, Rebel Verses Youth Arts Festival is a two-week festival that brings together student ensembles from all five boroughs of New York City and Pennsylvania. Students develop their artistic skills in workshops led by working artists by day, and perform their own original works by night. Each evening culminates in a collaborative piece devised by all ensembles involved, intended to represent the group and their experience within Rebel Verses Youth Arts Festival.
