Martin Moran and Stephen Spinella are among the stage veterans who will join the previously announced Justin Vivian Bond in Classic Stage Company's upcoming production of Bertolt Brecht's A Man's A Man. Directed by Brian Kulick and featuring a new score and songs by Duncan Sheik, the production will begin performances January 10, with an official opening night set for January 30.
Joining Bond (who plays the Widow Begbick), are Moran (Uriah Shelley), Spinella (Bloody Five), Jason Babinsky (Polly Baker), Bill Buell (Jeraiah Jip), Gibson Frazier (Galy Gay), Steven Skybell (Jesse Mahoney), Ching Valdes-Aran (Mr. Wang), and Allan K. Washington (Ensemble).
In Brecht's early farce, an innocent dockworker in British Colonial India is enlisted into Her Majesty's Armed Forces where he is turned into the ultimate fighting machine. The production features scenic design by Paul Steinberg, costume design by Gabriel Berry, lighting design by Justin Townsend, and sound design by Matt Kraus.
