Moises Kaufman to Direct Roundabout’s The Common Pursuit

Roundabout Theatre Company will present a new Off-Broadway production of Simon Gray’s comedy-drama The Common Pursuit, to run May 4-July 29 at the Laura Pels Theatre. The production, which will open officially on May 24, will be directed by Moises Kaufman. The full cast and creative team will be announced shortly.


The play chronicles 20 years in the lives of six friends, from their ambitious collegiate days to their surprising discoveries in the real world.


Gray’s many works include Butley, Otherwise Engaged, and Quartermaine’s Terms.


Kaufman’s many directorial credits include Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo, Macbeth, and I Am My Own Wife. He has also written and directed such works as 33 Variations, The Laramie Project, and Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde.
