Tom Wopat to Join Linda Purl at Feinstein’s in January

Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat will be guest vocalist when stage and television star Linda Purl plays a two performance engagement at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency, January 26-27 at 8:30pm. Tedd Firth will serve as music director.

The performances will feature standards and popular theater songs as well as country western classics. Among the numbers on the songlist will be “Out Of This World,” “Come Rain or Come Shine, “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” and “Whistle a Happy Tune.”

Purl may be best known for her portrayal of Helene Beasley, Pam’s mother, on NBC’s The Office. Other television work includes the role of Charlene Matlock on Matlock and Ashley Pfister on Happy Days. Her New York stage credits include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Getting and Spending, The Baby Dance and Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

Wopat received Tony nominations for his performances in A Catered Affair and Annie Get Your Gun. Among his other Broadway credits are Sondheim on Sondheim, Glengarry Glen Ross, and 42nd Street. As previously announced, he will be seen in the new musical Catch Me If You Can this spring.
