Lauren Fox, Donna Hanover, Annette Hunt, et al. Set For Bleecker Company’s Hillbilly Women

The Bleecker Company has announced casting for Hillbilly Women, to run January 6-30 at the Arclight Theatre. Sondra Lee will direct the production.

Based on the book of the same name by Kathy Kahn, Hillbilly Women follows the lives of six women and their tales of survival amid the coalmines, factories and farms of Appalachia in the late 1970s. The women’s stories are underscored with traditional songs and country & western favorites made famous by The Judds, Tim Sullivan, Tammy Wynette, and others.

The company will feature Lauren Fox, Donna Hanover, Annette Hunt, Evangeline Johns, Alicia Meer, Mickey Sumner, and Mimi Turque.

The creative team will include Joe Aulisi (costume design), Justin Sturges (lighting design), Michael Rice (musical direction), and Annette Fletcher (choreography). Additionally, Peter Harvey serves as design consultant.
