Kelli O'Hara, Nathan Gunn Set for March 21 New York Philharmonic Concert

Kelli O'Hara and Nathan Gunn will join the New York Philharmonic for a concert of songs and duets from the Golden Age of Broadway to be offered on March 21 at 7:30pm at Avery Fisher Hall. Ted Sperling will conduct the event.

The performance will feature selections from musicals by Rodgers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, and Stephen Sondheim, ranging from Carousel to Follies.

O'Hara's Broadway credits include South Pacific, The Light in the Piazza, The Pajama Game, The Sweet Smell of Success, Dracula and Jekyll and Hyde. In addition, she recently starred in the New York City Center Encores! staging of Bells Are Ringing. She has appeared with the New York Philharmonic in 2007 in a concert production of My Fair Lady and has also performed alongside the New York Pops and the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marvin Hamlisch, as well as with the Boston Pops under Keith Lockhart and the Philly Pops with Peter Nero/

Opera star Gunn has frequently moved to the world of musicals, appearing in Camelot with the New York Philharmonic, and Showboat at Carnegie Hall. He was also a featured soloist in SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert! with the Philharmonic. His most recent performance with the Orchestra was alongside Sting and Trudie Styler in the Allen Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center in Twin Spirits.
